Poverty in America

In are society today we are faced with an economic problem, were the government has shut down, and a high rate of people are below the poverty line. About 50 million people are below the poverty line, the middle class is now suffering from poverty. Jobs are being lost in United States; right now the economy is in another recession as years begin to pass the trust of the government will decrease, the likely hood of overcoming this submerge situation is challenging.
The race for equal opportunity is at hand, we cannot grow when poverty is standing right in front of us, and “Bill O Reilly” believes that the 9% of Americans that uses substance is at fault for being poor. “The united states has lost a staggering average of 50,000 manufacturing jobs every month since 2001” (186). With so many jobs gone it makes hard to think that success is possible. Lives are at risk in the 21 century, people are doing what needs to be done to put food on the table. Focusing on optimistic energy while there is another mouth to feed besides your own makes life seems impossible, thoughts will occur. That once morale mindset, that was once there has turn to something different.
The government has to be reconstructed for United States to heal it will take much more economic change, it will take anomaly strength to push through this economic cliff. “Over 46 million Americans are now living on food stamps” (188). With that many Americans faced with that overwhelming situation is scary. The poor has no rights in today’s society if you fall from success, you will be put on pedal stool as others who fail before them. The impoverished are more likely to commit crimes then the wealthy because there current predicament.
As we reach are peak of a confused society what is going to change about the government, and will the poor ever get equal rights? If equal rights cannot emerge then people might give up on life. The gravitational pull will be a shockwave across America if the wealthy continue to have insatiability. Poverty is the recession in America because middle class are now barley surviving in this epidemic of poverty.
Poverty will only change in America when the government changes, but the time for action will start in the heart of the Americans and from there it will take political steps to rebuild the nation.
